Here you will find a small selection of particularly innovative Wilton products. With special baking tins and other aids, Wilton makes very special creations possible. Cake supports allow you to stack several cakes of different or the same size on top of each other without putting all the weight on the lower layers. This would otherwise slowly compress the cake, cause it to collapse or even squeeze out the cream of a cake.
There are two simple ways to prevent this. There are multi-level cake plates that have been specially developed for such creations. For example, wedding cakes can be presented on top of each other or slightly offset, but the cakes are then clearly separated from each other. For a seamless transition, there are cake supports or Cake Frame. The latter can be assembled according to requirements and is suitable for more elaborate cakes and gravity-defying cakes. Cake supports are easier to use and are perfect for straight multi-level cakes.

First prepare the bottom cake and place it on the plate or cake platter. Then take one or 3-4 cake supports, depending on the size of the cake. These are then shortened exactly to the height of the cake.

Place the supports in the middle or in a triangle or square in the area where the next cake is to stand. This is then placed on top with a cake box or a cake board that is a little smaller than the cake itself. This stabilises everything wonderfully. For the next layer, cake supports are shortened again, inserted and loaded with the next cake.

The special baking moulds from Wilten are perfect for special occasions. For example, the numbers and letters baking tin can be used to write names or the age of the birthday boy or girl. The principle behind it is very simple.

The mould has a pattern embossed in the base. Different parts can be attached to this pattern to create additional walls. If a dough is then placed inside and baked, some areas of the mould are left out. By cleverly arranging the individual parts, all the numbers and letters can be formed from a simple rectangle. The chessboard baking tin can also be used to conjure up great patterns on the inside of a cake. Very special cakes can be made with the heart baking tin. It can be used to conjure up a beautiful heart in the middle of your treat.

For all little and big princesses, there is also the baking set for Barbie cakes. With this set, you can bake a beautiful cake for a child's birthday party in no time at all. The cake is baked in a dome-shaped baking tin and then turned out. This part then forms the wide skirt of the Barbie princess. For the perfect look, a matching sticker is inserted into the cake.

Now all you need is edible glue, fondant and some creativity. Roll out a large piece of fondant thinly and lay it over the cake or cupcake. You can spread ganache or buttercream on it beforehand, and it's easier if you put the Barbie sticker on later. You can either smooth out the fondant top or fold it slightly to make the skirt look more realistic. Cut off any excess fondant at the bottom of the cake with a sharp knife.

Now you can form little balls or strands, cut out flowers and butterflies. These can be attached to the whole skirt with a little edible glue. Cake lace pieces, which look like a fine lace veil over the skirt, also look very elegant. You can also use egg white icing to add very fine decorations.

Then insert the Barbie topper into the cake and cover it with fondant as well. By attaching a rolled-out piece of fondant that is slightly longer than the Barbie's upper body, the connecting line can be perfectly hidden. Again, work with food glue, decorations and egg white icing. You'll have the perfect Barbie cake in no time!
