Gingerbread house challenge as a team event

Crunchy, crunchy, crunchy, who will decorate the prettiest little house?

Let yourself be enchanted by the scent of freshly baked gingerbread. At our gingerbread house event, all participants can be creative and decorate their own gingerbread house and a gingerbread heart to their heart's content. We will pre-bake the gingerbread before the event and then you will assemble the individual elements into a gingerbread house using icing.

The course leader will then show you how to decorate the gingerbread house individually using various decoration techniques and ingredients.

Participants can then be really creative and decorate their gingerbread house however they like with icing, almonds, edible glitter, Smarties and other sweets. While your team is busy icing your gingerbread houses and sticking on various decorations, we will fortify the group with hot mulled wine, punch, coffee or tea.

At the end of the event, the most beautiful gingerbread house is drawn by lot as a group. The winner will receive a large gingerbread heart as a souvenir.

In the meantime, while the finished gingerbread houses are drying, our course leader will also show you how to decorate your own individual gingerbread heart. Afterwards, you can decorate the gingerbread heart yourself. At the end of the course, all participants can wrap their homemade gingerbread houses and gingerbread hearts and take them home with them.

Are there any questions or uncertainties?

Here you will find an overview of the most frequently asked questions. If you have not found a suitable answer to your question, you are welcome to contact us by telephone on 044 480 14 14 or by e-mail at events@minischoggi.ch.

After the event, the organiser will receive an invoice by e-mail for the number of people booked, which must be paid within 14 days. Of course, it is also possible to send the payment slip by post on request.

The reason that we send an invoice is that we do not have any cash registers on site to carry out the billing. In rare cases, we may insist on prepayment or card payment in advance because the invoice z.B. is addressed to a person with a foreign billing address. MiniSchoggi reserves this right at all times. We thank you for your understanding.

Unfortunately, the parking situation in the cities of Zurich and Bern is somewhat difficult and we cannot guarantee parking spaces there, but can only refer you to the car parks in the immediate vicinity. Thank you for your understanding.

In Zurich-Adliswil there are dozens of car parks along the River Sihl, which are even free of charge at weekends. You will always find free spaces there. If, contrary to expectations, this is not the case, just come up to the restaurant and we will show you where you can find additional parking spaces.

With every booked aperitif offer, we also include orange juice or mineral water with the Prosecco for those people who do not wish to or are not allowed to consume alcohol.

The events usually take place at a large table and therefore seated. That's why our event ideas are also very suitable for everyone. At the chocolate bar events, on the other hand, you stand up regularly, mix the ingredients yourself and collect the chocolate from the chocolate station yourself. This means that you regularly have to stand up and sit down and walk small distances around the room. However, if it only affects one person, this is no reason not to organise the event, as our course leader and certainly the other participants will be very happy to help.

At the cupcake event, we deliberately avoid toppings that would not withstand a long evening or warm temperatures. Decorations made from fondant, flower paste or royal icing can withstand warmer temperatures well, so it's not a problem at all.

Chocolate can withstand temperatures of up to 25 °C without direct sunlight. However, when storing in warm places, such as in the car or similar, it is advisable to take a cool box or similar with you in the car so that nothing is guaranteed to happen.

If the temperatures are warmer, we can provide you with a cool bag for your chocolate creations instead of a normal carrier bag. This will keep them cool for several hours under normal conditions. However, if you are out in the sun for longer or the temperatures are very high, you can always put a cool drink in the cool bag so that the chocolate remains protected. In extremely warm weather (over 30 °C), we organise cool pads to ensure that the chocolate does not suffer.

At the cupcake event, you will receive a special box for transport so that the cupcakes are well protected.

The cookies at the cookie event are packed in beautiful bags and then in a box so that they are well prepared for transport.

If you are decorating high heels at the event, you will receive a specially made box in which the moulded chocolate bar fits perfectly. You attach your high heel to this chocolate bar with a little chocolate so that the shoe is secured. The shoe is therefore optimally protected for further transport.

At the team chocolate event and the chocolate bar event, you will receive a box for the chocolates so that they are well protected and the truffles come in a bag. The bars are also packed in transparent bags.

At the end of each event, you will receive a carrier bag for transport, which can also be labelled with your name so that there is no confusion.

If you are travelling for any length of time afterwards, the creations can be stored in a locker at the station, in a car (if available) or, if you prefer, we can store the creations for a few days and you can collect them from us later.

The cupcakes have a shelf life of 1 week, although you can also freeze them together with the decoration. This extends the shelf life to 3 months.

The cookies have a shelf life of 8 weeks, whereby they can simply be stored at room temperature and protected from the sun.

Chocolates and truffles can be kept at room temperature, protected from light, for 4 weeks and the chocolate bars and chocolate high heels can be kept for at least 6 months.

You will therefore have plenty of time to savour your creations or give them as gifts to your loved ones.

We ask you to arrive at your event on time so that the timetable works out. If you arrive late, the course organiser will be forced to shorten the event accordingly. Depending on the day, the event room may be needed again before or after your event. We are therefore dependent on the conversion and cleaning time. Alternatively, the course organiser may have other appointments or be off work, so we would be grateful if you would arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before the event and leave the room afterwards so that the course organiser can start cleaning.

A cosy atmosphere is very important to us. Therefore, it is absolutely no problem and does not generate any additional costs if an event takes a little longer, but for the reasons mentioned we cannot make our rooms available for games or the like.

Thank you very much for your co-operation and understanding.

Please notify us of any changes as soon as possible, preferably by e-mail or, in the case of events, within 24 hours by telephone on 044 480 14 14.

Reduction in the number of people: The entire preparation process begins a week before the start of the event and the event rooms are usually set up days in advance so that only the fresh ingredients and fillings need to be prepared on the day of the event. If the number of guests is reduced at short notice, we are unfortunately unable to take this into account in the invoice. However, we recommend that the creations for the person who has cancelled, usually for health reasons, are still made in the group so that this person can also enjoy the missed event at home.

If the number of people at the two-hour events falls below 6 people or at the one-hour events below 10 people, you should still make the quantity for 6 or 10 people, as we have to charge for this minimum number of people.

Increases in the number of people: In the vast majority of situations, we can easily increase the number of people at short notice. In individual cases, however, it may not be possible if z.B. massively more people come or the products are no longer in stock.

Further details on processing and invoicing as well as the exact procedure for events that have already been confirmed, complete cancellations or postponements can be found in detail in the GTCs, which are sent to you when you request a quote.

This is what previous groups have to say about the team, customer or employee events they have booked with us.
