Basic participation option for course
The Basic participation option for courses is the ideal addition to your course booking and should not be omitted. This way you can ensure that even in the event of unforeseen incidents such as illness, accident, etc. (detailed list below), you can take part in the course at a later date at no extra cost.
No cancellation and rebooking costs - simply take part on a different course date
By taking out the Basci participation option, all cancellation and rebooking costs are waived in the situations listed below, so that you can register directly for a new course date at no additional cost. If you do not take out the Basic participation option, 100% of the course costs will be charged as a cancellation fee if you cancel up to 30 days before the start of the course. Situations covered by the Basic participation option
The Basic participation option applies to the following situations; the required proof is also shown in brackets ( ) so that free participation on another course day can be granted.
- Serious and/or sudden illness or accident (medical certificate or accident report)
- Corona disease and/or isolation and quarantine (cantonal order)
- Death or funeral of a family member, including children, parents, grandparents and siblings. In the event of death, three days from the date of death are covered. If the course is therefore within 3 days of the death or on the day of the funeral, the participation option applies. (death certificate or certificate of the date of the funeral)
- Pregnancy complications (medical certificate)
- Cancellation, accident or delay of the means of transport, whereby the delay must be more than 30 minutes for journeys of less than 3 hours and more than 60 minutes for the remaining journeys. (Confirmation of delay for public transport or receipt if travelling by car)
- Serious damage to the property of the participating person at the place of residence due to fire, water, natural hazards and theft, provided the presence of the person is mandatory. (Report or confirmed insurance notification)
- New official summonses, military or civil defence (summons, summons)
Situations NOT covered by the participation option
The following situations are explicitly not covered by the participation option and must be borne by the person making the booking. The normal cancellation and rebooking conditions therefore apply in these situations and can be accessed here.
- Illness of a friend or relative
- Business appointments, shift changes or workloads that make participation no longer possible
- Cancellation of course participation during the course. You will then receive all recipe documents and the semi-finished and/or finished products you have already made yourself.
- New dates such as weddings, celebrations, private and business invitations and other events that make participation no longer possible.
- Participation in existing or newly booked holidays or other leisure activities
Group bookings for public courses
For group bookings of two to six people, the entire group may postpone participation to another date if one of the above-mentioned covered situations occurs, provided that all participating persons have purchased the Basic participation option. If not all persons have purchased the Basic participation option, the free rebooking only applies to those persons who have purchased the Basic participation option. For groups of seven people or more, the Basic participation option only applies to the person in question who is faced with one of the above situations.
Notification on the occasion of non-participation
As soon as a situation covered by the Basic participation option arises, miniSchoggi GmbH must be informed immediately, at the latest within 24 hours of the situation occurring. If this is not done, the option for free participation on another date will be cancelled. MiniSchoggi should be informed of cancellations at short notice (less than 48 hours before the start of the course or at the weekend) by telephone on 044 480 14 14 and the written notification, which must be sent in any case, by e-mail to info@minischoggi.ch. Alternatively, it can also be sent by post to miniSchoggi GmbH, Industriestrasse 20, 9300 Wittenbach.
Selection of a new course date
Most courses are held throughout the year, so you are sure to find a new date that suits you. For seasonal courses that will not take place again in the foreseeable future, another course can also be booked as a substitute. Any difference in price will either be invoiced separately or issued as a credit note. A refund of the course fee and/or the participation option is excluded in any case.
Completion, restrictions and participation option
The participation option provides one-off cover for the situations covered. When a covered situation occurs, the option for free subsequent participation takes effect and then expires. It is not possible to make multiple rebookings with the same Basic participation option. If you wish to purchase the Basic participation option again for the rebooking date, please notify us in writing by e-mail to info@minischoggi.ch so that we can charge the corresponding fee. The participation option only comes into effect if the costs of the course and the participation option have been paid within the specified invoice period.
If a course is cancelled by miniSchoggi GmbH, the booked participation option will of course remain valid for the new date and does not have to be taken out again.
The participation option must be purchased directly together with the course. If this has been forgotten, the participation option can be purchased separately within 48 hours of receiving the course booking confirmation (invoice for the course). This can be done either by e-mail to info@minischoggi.ch or by telephone on 044 480 14 14. After this time, it is no longer possible to purchase the participation option.
Exclusion of external costs, reference to travel insurance
Please note that the participation option is not travel insurance, the participation option is only intended in combination with the booked course and does not cover external costs such as hotel accommodation or travel costs etc.. This is the purpose of travel insurance, which you are sure to have with your trusted insurance company. Depending on the travel insurance you have taken out, the participation option may not be necessary, as many situations may be covered. But very often with a high excess. However, we cannot assess your personal situation, nor do we know how your travel insurance is structured, so the decision to purchase the participation option is entirely up to you. What happens if I do not have a participation option?
The participation option is not mandatory and can be purchased voluntarily together with the course. It protects you from additional costs in the event of a course cancellation or postponement in many situations (detailed list of situations covered). If you do not take out this insurance, the normal course and cancellation conditions apply. We would like to offer you additional security with this offer, because various situations such z.B. cases in connection with Corona are rarely covered by insurance solutions and the deductible in such a case is often higher than the course price. Of course, the Basic participation option has no influence on the course itself.
