Macarons are known for their many different colors, a rainbow cake is not a rainbow cake without color and colored fondant flowers enhance any cake. Almost any mass can be colored with gel colors. With this vibrant color set, equipped with the basic colors, you can create elegant macarons, bright fondant flowers or an elegant gloss icing for your cake.
The gel colors from Progel color strongly, so only a little color is needed. Prepare your mixture or knead it in advance. Then take a small spoon, for example, and add a small dab of color. Then mix the color well with the mass. As it spreads very well and evenly, it does not need to be mixed with a small amount in advance. If the color is still a little too pale after mixing, add another dab and stir again until the desired color is achieved.
You can also paint with the Progel colors. To do this, put a small amount of paint on a small plate or tile. A second color can also be added if required. Gel paints can easily be mixed together to create the perfect color. The color is then applied to fondant or marzipan, for example, using a brush. The color must then be allowed to dry a little.
Gel colors are probably the most versatile food colors. In contrast to powder and liquid colors, they maintain the consistency of the masses. They can be used for macaron dough, cake fillings, buttercream, biscuit and sponge dough, royal icing and much more. The food coloring paste is very economical. A small dab is usually enough. It is best to wear disposable gloves when coloring the fondant, as the paste stains heavily when kneading the mixture.
