Which box of chocolates fits what, 4, 6, 9, 12, 16 or 20 chocolates?
If you search for chocolate packaging online, you will discover an amazing variety. There is cardboard or plastic packaging in various vibrant colors and elegant designs, with or without a window. Regardless of your choice, it is important to consider the size first. How many chocolates should fit in the packaging?
Small boxes of chocolates such as mini handbags or boxes of four are ideal as a gift. If you are visiting or want to bring a small gift for Christmas, these mini boxes are perfect. It's best to fill them with one or two types of chocolates to make them look particularly elegant.
If you have made a large number of delicious chocolates, you could give them away in larger packages - for example to couples or people who like to treat themselves to something sweet. For this, 10 or more chocolates can make a great gift. Remember, however, that boxes of 20 are quite large and therefore take up a lot of space. An alternative would be taller boxes containing two layers of chocolates. However, you won't be able to see all the chocolates from the outside.
What makes the boxes of 6 chocolates stand out?
The classic packaging for 6 chocolates is made of robust paper, which is beautifully colored and harmonizes perfectly with the golden base. Thanks to the divider, the chocolates remain securely in place during transportation, even if they are briefly tilted.
The transparent lid allows a direct view of the delicious treats. The double rim is extremely stable and offers additional safety during transportation.
Can the chocolates be placed in the chocolate packaging without foil?
You have finally discovered the ideal chocolate boxes and made the delicious chocolates. If you then realize that you want to fit more chocolates in the packaging than you had planned or the compartments are not the right size, don't worry! The dividers are very easy to remove. You can place the chocolates directly in the packaging or put them in pretty paper molds.
How are chocolates packaged?
To start the fun of wrapping, you first need to choose, buy or order the right box for your chocolates and fold it up if necessary. Then comes the fun part, the filling. Here are a few tips for you.
Storage
The rules for wrapping are similar to those for storing delicious chocolate. For example, the chocolates should be kept in a cool place for a longer shelf life. This does not necessarily mean in the fridge, but rather in a cool, dry place such as a cellar if they are to be stored for a long time, or in a place out of direct sunlight if they are to be given as gifts and eaten soon. Of course, they taste best fresh. When packing, the chocolates should be well chilled so that they do not melt as soon as they are moved.
ramekins
We recommend using aluminum or paper molds for chocolate boxes to present the sweet treats in the best possible way. You can choose between different colors such as red, silver, gold and black to find the perfect design. With the chocolate boxes, you can ensure that your treats are transported without damage. They also prevent the truffles from rolling around in the box and ensure a perfect look!
Multiple levels
If you are looking for a high-quality box with a double layer, you will find the right packaging in our range. Some of these boxes already have a second base in the set. We recommend placing this on the bottom layer of chocolates and placing the top layer on top. In this way, the weight is evenly distributed and it looks particularly elegant.
Remaining space
If the packaging for the chocolates is already filled but there is still some space left on the sides, it is often a good idea to fill it. Otherwise the sweet gift can easily slip or be damaged during transportation, especially if there are no dividers. It is therefore advisable to crumple up some colored tissue paper, for example, and place it along the edges of the pages. This way, your creations are protected and look beautifully embedded.
Small blemishes
Even if you are very careful, it can happen that a corner or edge of a praline breaks off. Or perhaps a piece gets stuck in the mold or a small air hole can be seen. But don't worry, such small flaws can be easily concealed. Take some tempered white couverture and apply it to dark chocolates and truffles using a paper cornet. The fine chocolate strips can easily cover up small holes. If there is an air hole in a practical place or the tips are not quite perfect, you can simply attach a pearl or other sugar decoration with some couverture. If the chocolate has chipped in some places, a little glitter can work wonders. Simply spray on with a pump sprayer or paint the affected area with a brush. The glitter will cover up the missing shine and embellish your creation with a sparkling pattern.
