Description

Silicone stencil round 48 pieces, Ø 2.6 cm

With the help of a silicone template, you can create your own chocolate, isomalt and caramel flakes in a great shape or decorate roulades with a pretty pattern. You can make 48 pieces with a diameter of 2.6 cm in no time at all. The finished tiles can then be used to decorate cakes, cupcakes and many other delicacies. The mat can then be easily cleaned in the dishwasher.

Silicone stencil - Application

If you would like to make some decorative flakes for your cake, éclairs or small desserts, you will need tempered couverture, an angled spatula and PVC film. If you want the chocolate flakes to be colored, you will also need cocoa butter and, for a particularly intense result, white couverture. Heat three or four different colors of cocoa butter and take a fine brush. Now start by applying the lightest color to the PVC film. You can either follow a specific pattern or simply make a few slightly larger or smaller blobs. Do the same with the other, slightly darker colors. Then place the stencil on top.

Pour some white couverture onto the stencil or directly into each hole. Use an angled spatula to spread the chocolate evenly and smooth it out. Place the whole thing in the fridge for a very short time, then you can remove the stencil and chill the plates again. Once the couverture has cooled completely, it can be easily removed from the PVC film.

Of course, you can also use the stencil for caramel or isomalt. As it is very heat-resistant, it is well suited for such projects. It is best to place it on a silicone mat and smooth out the caramel, like the chocolate, using an angled spatula. The caramel and isomalt can be left in the stencil until solidified and only then removed from the silicone mat.

For a particularly elegant roulade or a beautiful cake edge, you can spread a roulade decorating paste in the template, remove it and spread a thin layer of roulade pastry on the resulting pastry shapes. Bake the whole thing in this way and you have a beautifully patterned roulade.

You can simply put the silicone mat in the dishwasher to clean it. It will be clean again in no time and ready for the next project!
