Silicone mold Babà - Application

Other delicious pastries can also be made in this tin. The tin does not need to be greased, the dough is simply poured in and baked. After cooling, the individual cavities are simply inverted so that the beautiful cookies come out easily. They taste best when coated with couverture, chocolate icing or a delicious sugar glaze. 

Silicone molds are suitable for many different creations, as they can be baked and frozen without any problems and, as they are soft and flexible, the finished products cannot simply stick to them. This means you can easily make a wide variety of creations, whether sweet or savory. The surface is still beautifully smooth even after unmoulding and is therefore ideal for coating with icing, couverture, chocolate icing or mirror glaze. Fresh berries, small sugar decorations or chocolate sprinkles complete the decoration.


Frozen sweet or savory

Cold or frozen masses are particularly suitable for silicone molds. Silicone molds for desserts are the most popular. To ensure that the mixture takes shape, you can simply fill the finished mousse, ice cream or sorbet mixture into the cavities using a piping bag and distribute it in the silicone mold by pulling and pressing. You can then remove the excess mixture with a spatula and pour it into the next mold. Once you have filled each cavity, place the mold in the freezer and leave the treats to freeze for at least 4 hours. Ideally overnight. Once the desserts are frozen, you can decorate the designs. The Velvet Spray is ideal for frozen delicacies. This gets its beautiful velvet effect from the freezing process. You can use cake gloss. Simply stick a toothpick into the motif, dip your delicious pieces into the cake gloss and leave to stand for a while. With the velvet spray and also with the cake gloss, it is important that your masses are frozen. Ice cream, ice cream and sorbet can be served straight away. A mousse or patisserie can be thawed slowly in the fridge. Creativity is called for with this form: for an appetizer, for example, you can make a savoury eggplant mousse, freeze it in the mould and serve it with fresh breakfast rolls. Various creams can also be frozen and served with main courses. How about homemade herb butter to accompany barbecued food? Anything is possible with silicone!
