Semifreddo is the Italian word for semifreddo and basically means nothing more than ice cream parfait. Ice cream parfait differs from ice cream in that it is not produced in an ice cream machine, but in the freezer. Another difference to ice cream is the fact that parfait is not produced with constant stirring, but standing.
