Spread a thin layer of tempered couverture or cake icing on the insert strip of the tree bark and immediately insert it into the desired ring while the chocolate has not yet set.
Now fill the cake ring with the inserted tree bark on the edge, normally with biscuit bottoms, cream and cream fillings and place in the freezer for further storage. After a few hours, the cake can be unmolded from the ring. To do this, remove the cake ring and peel the tree bark foil away from the edge of the cake. And you have a really nice tree bark cake edge.
Or you can insert the tree bark insert strip into the cake ring without chocolate. In this case, after cooling and removing the tree bark insert strip, spray the cake brown with a Velvet Spray. If the tree bark insert strip is too long, cut it to the desired size.
Important: The tree bark insert stiffener is NOT intended for baking.
