A real Swiss quality chocolate - this is no problem with the couvertures from Felchlin. Production from the cocoa bean to the finished couverture takes place in Ibach-Schwyz. Ingredients that can be produced in Switzerland, such as milk, cream and beet sugar, are also sourced exclusively from here. If a delicious vanilla flavour is desired, only genuine and pure organic vanilla from Madagascar is used. Soya lecithin and cocoa butter are also purchased and processed in their pure form and in the best quality.

Of particular importance, of course, are the cocoa beans. Here, too, quality and sustainability are Felchlin's top priorities. To this end, the company has drawn up its own strict guidelines, which include not only various checks on the taste, aroma and quality of the beans, but also the exchange and fair treatment of farmers. The cocoa farmers receive a higher price for their beans from Felchlin than is usually paid for Fairtrade cocoa.

In addition, various facilities, infrastructure, education and also the safety and health of the villages and their inhabitants are promoted. Projects to care for the environment and protect nature are also part of Felchlin's commitment.

Felchlin's strict control of the cultivation, origin and quality of the beans results in very special couvertures. The Grand Cru chocolates are a particularly good example of this. In couvertures with this label, all the cocoa beans used come from one cultivation area. This creates particularly intense aromas, and the characteristics of the individual beans can be optimally taken into account during roasting. All cocoa beans are always processed gently so that none of the good taste is lost.

This is how Felchlin guarantees the highest quality in all their different couvertures. In order to offer a good selection of different varieties, we have five different couvertures from Felchlin in our range.

The Grand Cru Maracaibo couverture from Felchlin has already won several awards as the best dark couverture in the world and contains only cocoa beans from Venezuela from the area below Lake Maracaibo. The melt-in-the-mouth chocolate impresses with a varied aroma and a strong cocoa flavour.

We also have an organic couverture in our range. The excellent, pure forastero cocoa is imported from Ghana and processed in Switzerland into the dark Cru Suhum couverture. With a cocoa content of 60%, this couverture tastes intensely of cocoa and has a slightly smoky aroma.

A particularly fine couverture is the Centenario Concha. It contains Esmeraldas from Ecuador, Maracaibos from Venezuela and Criollo Amazonico, a special, wild-growing cocoa bean variety. These are gently processed, mixed with other ingredients and then conched for 48 hours. This eliminates unwanted flavours, but creates a delicious cocoa taste with a hint of black tea and many fruity aromas.

If you love milk chocolate, you should try the Grand Cru Couverture Grenada. With a variety of flavours, such as blossom honey, milk caramel or vanilla, it is one of the more unusual milk couvertures.

Edelweiss Couverture is an incredibly aromatic white chocolate. Unlike normal white chocolates, which tend to carry few flavours and are very sweet, this couverture brings a rich flavour to your creations. If you let it melt on your tongue, you will enjoy a creamy caramel flavour, followed by vanilla and a delicate acacia blossom honey aroma in the finish. Even the slightly yellowish colour of the couverture promises a caramel pleasure.

In addition to these couvertures, there are of course other delicious creations to discover. Take a look around our online shop and find your favourite couverture!
