The story of Dekoback is particularly beautiful. The company was born out of a small problem. in 2009, the niece of one of the co-founders wanted a very special cake. Winnie the Pooh was to decorate the cake, as he was her favourite film hero. So they looked for a suitable decoration for the homemade cake, but they couldn't find anything suitable from Winnie the Pooh.

At the time, the co-founder thought that his niece was certainly not the only child who wanted a film hero cake. And so the idea and soon the company were born. The idea was to make cake decorating easier and more accessible, especially decorations with movie characters. Soon, a few licensing agreements were signed with Mattel, Lucasfilms, Marvel and Pixar and production could begin.

Year after year, more and more great decoration products were added, in the meantime Dekoback even has a sub-brand called Decocino. This includes all baking decor products.

At miniSchoggi you will find a large selection of the different decorations. Besides the typical candles in the shape of movie heroes like Olaf, Anna or Elsa from Frozen or even Darth Vader, we also offer more general decorations. With the fondant cover already rolled out, the preparatory cake icing can be done in no time and without much effort, then you can continue decorating with colourful mini marshmallows, cake fountains and icing lettering.

The range also includes sprayable cake icing, which gives fruit cakes, for example, a beautiful sheen and prevents them from tarnishing. With gold and silver fondant and small, stick-on sugar eyes, you can create further decorations for cakes or cupcakes.

These tools can be used, for example, to create a particularly elegant Frozen cake. You will need a white fondant cover, matching candles with Frozen motifs, silver fondant, some silver icing lettering if you wish and of course the most important thing, the birthday cake.

The birthday cake must first be made suitable for fondant. To do this, cover any watery filling with ganache or buttercream, as this would otherwise soften the fondant. The base should be spread as smoothly as possible; any unevenness could still be visible afterwards even with the fondant cover. Then the fondant cover is carefully placed over the cake and smoothed out on the surface. The edge is then carefully smoothed downwards and the folds are carefully pulled out with the other hand.

Then take a piece of silver fondant and knead it soft. Roll it out thinly and cut out some snowflakes and some clouds with the Easiest Rose cutter or some circles. You can flatten the edge of the cloud or the circles with your finger or a modelling tool to make the petals look more delicate. Fold the cloud in the middle and roll it up from the side. You can overlap the circles slightly and roll them up as well. In both versions, the petals are then fanned out a little at the top to create a beautiful rose.

Then place the candles in the middle of the cake or slightly around the edge. Arrange a few roses underneath and add some green fondant leaves if you like. On the remaining free space, you can write a small message in sugar script and place the silver snowflakes around it. The perfect Frozen cake is complete!
