But not only people who want to start creating great cakes are well served by the products from Blossom Sugar Art, they are also valuable tools for professionals. Especially when it comes to making hundreds of flowers for a motif cake, using an embosser or veiner, as they are also called, saves an extremely large amount of time. Instead of shaping each cut-out flower with the help of modelling tools and flower modelling plates, it is placed briefly in the embosser, pressed and then it can be used or dried.

The Blossom Sugar Art range includes a large selection of different cutters and embossers that can be combined with each other. For example, classic hydrangea blossoms, petunias, daisies and primroses, but also combinations of these can be achieved. For example, if a large and a slightly smaller petunia are glued together in a slightly twisted way and placed on a small leaf, a typical poinsettia is created. This is how you create the perfect Christmas dessert!

These great flowers and butterflies can also be made in advance. Depending on the desired shape, leave the embossed fondant flowers to dry on baking paper, the edge of a plate or on aluminium foil. The latter can be used to form small depressions in which the flowers are given a nice rounded shape. For butterflies, use a piece of paper or aluminium foil to make a V-shape into which the fondant is placed.

The procedure for making a flower with cutters and embossers from Blossom Sugar Art is quite simple. To begin, choose the desired mixture and colour. You can use fondant, Massa Ticino, flower paste or modelling chocolate. If you don't have the colour you want at home or if you want a particular shade, you can colour all the masses using gel colours. To do this, add a very small dab of colour to a white piece of the mixture and knead it in well. To avoid colouring your hands, you can wear food-safe plastic gloves. Once the colour has been lightly melted in or evenly kneaded in as desired, you can continue.

Roll out the modelling clay thinly. The thinner the clay, the more filigree the flower will be, but it will also tear more quickly. It will also lose its shape more quickly as long as it is not completely dry. Then take the desired cookie cutter and cut out one or more flowers or butterflies. Then place the shape on a suitable embosser, which should be slightly larger than the modelling clay. You can prepare the veiner with a little baker's starch beforehand. To do this, press both sides briefly into the veiner and tap it a little at the edge. The baker's starch prevents the mass from sticking in the embosser, but does not form white spots on the end product like icing sugar.

Then fold the top of the embosser onto the bottom and press it well together. Open the veiner again and remove the flower or butterfly. If it still sticks slightly, you can help it along with a toothpick or, even better, a fine brush.

The flowers made in this way can be used directly or dried. Additional finishing touches can be made with powder colours, glitter and beads. The sets are also suitable for handicraft work with clay or similar materials. With the cutters and embossers from Blossom Sugar Art you can create beautiful flowers and butterflies in no time at all!
