These chocolate surprise eggs can be filled with lots of great things. They can be filled with sweets, play figures, toys or personal messages, such as z.B. letters.

Production of surprise eggs

When making the surprise eggs, you will need a sufficiently large chocolate Easter egg mould for your surprise capsule so that there is enough space for the capsule.

First, polish your chocolate mould to give it a nice shine at the end. You can then fill the chocolate mould with tempered milk couverture. Fill your egg halves completely with liquid chocolate. Then tap the mould lightly with a rubber mallet so that all the air bubbles come out.

Now turn your mould 180° and tap it with the rubber mallet until only a little couverture comes out of the mould. Then use a spatula to remove the excess couverture. Finally, use a metal horn to smooth over the mould so that you get a clean surface.

Then place the poured chocolate mould, chocolate side down, on baking paper and leave the mould at room temperature for 5 minutes. This allows the excess chocolate to run down evenly on all sides. This will give you a slightly thicker chocolate edge at the end so that you can stick the two finished egg halves together better at the end.

After 5 minutes, you can remove the mould from the baking paper and turn it over. The couverture will now have set slightly and become firm. Run the metal horn over the chocolate mould once more to remove the excess chocolate and create a nice, even chocolate edge. Then place the chocolate mould in the fridge for 5 minutes.

After 5 minutes in the fridge, you can take the mould out again. This time, take white tempered couverture and fill the mould. Now repeat the steps with the white couverture.

Once you have filled your egg halves with tempered white couverture, you can turn the mould 180° again and tap it lightly against the edge with a rubber mallet so that the excess chocolate flows out. Finally, wipe your mould clean using a metal horn. Place the mould, chocolate side down, on baking paper for a further 5 minutes. Then smooth the surface again with a metal horn and place the finished chocolate mould in the fridge for 20 to 30 minutes.

After approx. 20 minutes, you can remove your chocolate eggs from the mould. Now fill your surprise capsules that you want to hide in the chocolate eggs. You can hide lots of different sweets, play figures, personal letters or toys in the capsules. In our range you will find many play figures and some of them are also suitable in size for filling the surprise capsule. Discover all our play figures here! Please note that the capsules are relatively large and do not fit into every egg size. The capsule for surprise egg small, 10 pieces go into these two egg sizes:

Now you need a bain-marie. Pour a little water into a pan and bring to the boil. Remove the pan from the heat and place a metal tray or plate on top. Now place a surprise capsule in one half of the egg and remove the other half from the mould. Place the egg half on the heated tray/plate, but only for a few seconds until the chocolate melts. Then stick the two egg halves together and leave them to set at room temperature for 15 minutes. You can then remove your surprise egg from the mould and wrap it up nicely. Our aluminium foil for chocolate bars or our transparent bags are suitable for this.

In our range you will also find even bigger surprise capsules for even bigger surprise eggs, have fun making them.
