The company Ambiente was founded over 25 years ago in the Netherlands, but with the beautiful designs and high quality workmanship they quickly became known and popular all over the world. Today, Ambiente is active in over 70 different countries, but the head office is still in the Netherlands, close to the border with Germany.
In addition to fine napkins, Ambiente also produces handkerchiefs, tableware, napkin holders and candles. All products are decorated with beautiful patterns, pictures and colours, these come from the company's own team of designers, who create over 200 different designs a year. Afterwards, the designed products are produced in the own company. During production, Ambiente pays special attention to the use of high-quality materials. All paper and wood products are FSC-certified, and the inks used for printing are all food-safe. This is how you create an environmentally friendly, beautiful and practical table decoration, because with the noble patterns, subtle embossing and bright colours, the napkins are very decorative.
With special folding techniques, you can bring the napkins into shape for an even more beautiful decoration that is guaranteed to impress your guests. Napkins that do not bear a picture but a pattern and are coloured on both sides are particularly suitable for such creations. Embossed napkins can also be used without any problems.
For example, you can create a beautiful flower in just a few steps. First unfold the napkin completely. Then take the first corner and fold it into the centre indicated by the folded lines. Repeat this with the other three corners. Then fold all the new corners into the centre again. Now turn the napkin over so that you have a smooth side on top again. For the third time, fold all the corners towards the centre.
Now fold the petals upwards. Hold the middle of the napkin down with your weaker hand. With the other hand, lift one corner slightly and take the corner of the napkin that is there to the front. Place your thumb and forefinger between the corner of the folded part and the corner you took out from underneath. This way you can pull the single-layered corner a little upwards, it should then stop by itself, resulting in an inner and an outer leaf. Repeat this step until you have a four-petalled flower.
You can either leave the flower as it is or make it a little rounder with 4 more leaves. To do this, hold the centre again and pull the corners that are still under the flower, between the already folded up leaves, out and up. This makes the flower more stable and rounder.
You can then place the finished flowers on the table. It looks particularly elegant, for example, if you put something in the middle. You can, for example, put narrow glasses in them or place them on the plates with a small chocolate in the middle.
If you want something less elaborate, you can also place the napkins unfolded on the plate with the tips to the side and up and down. In the middle, for example, a praline or a small, home-baked biscuit looks very elegant. You can also create the right decoration for different events by choosing an appropriate shape. For a child's birthday, you might choose different animal shapes, for Christmas small snowflakes and at Easter each guest receives a small Easter bunny biscuit.
